Stamps terms and conditions

These terms and conditions (Terms) relate to the Membership Proposition Trial (Trial) which has been made available to certain Co-op Group Members. If selected, and by using this Trial, all participants are deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms. In these terms when we say “we”, “us” “our” or “Co-op” we mean Co-operative Group Limited and its group of companies. When we say “you” and “your” we mean the Co-op Member whose name is on the front of their Membership Card.

The Trial

If you have been selected to participate in the Trial, you will be eligible to collect stamps when you purchase selected Co-op own-brand products only in a Co-op Group Food Store* and scan or swipe your valid Membership Card. When you have collected a certain number of stamps, you will be eligible to receive a reward.

New Digital Stamp Cards will be available in the Co-op App from time to time during the Trial. Each Digital Stamp Card will be live for the Trial Period, during which you can collect stamps to earn a particular reward.

How to Participate

  • You must have downloaded the Co-op App.
  • In the “Wallet” tab of the Co-op App you will see any live Digital Stamp Cards.
  • Stamps will be awarded when you make certain qualifying purchases detailed in the Co-op App, when you shop in a Co-op Group food Store.
  • Each Digital Stamp Card will give details of the criteria that will allow you to collect stamps for that card, for example you may need to spend a certain amount in one transaction, or you may need to buy certain products in a transaction to qualify.
  • Each Digital Stamp Card will require a specified number of stamps to be collected for you to earn a reward. This may vary between Digital Stamp Cards.
  • In order to collect stamps, you must scan your Co-op Group Membership Card when making a qualifying purchase.
  • You can collect a maximum of one stamp per Digital Stamp Card in any transaction.
  • If you do not collect the required number of stamps before the expiry date of the Digital Stamp Card, you will not earn a reward. The collected stamps will expire and cannot be carried over to any other Digital Stamp Card.

How to Redeem your Reward

  • Once you have collected the required number of stamps on a Digital Stamp Card, you will unlock your reward.
  • To claim your reward, you must accept it in the Co-op App before the expiry date shown.
  • Once you have claimed your reward, it will be visible in the “Wallet” tab of the Co-op App.
  • You must use your reward by the expiry date shown.
  • Rewards can only be used once, are not exchangeable or transferable and there is no cash alternative.
  • If using a reward to buy alcohol, where the reward would reduce the alcohol product below the Minimum Unit Price (the minimum price at which we are legally allowed to sell that product), we may refuse to accept the reward on that purchase or may only apply a part reduction, so that we do not reduce the product below the Minimum Unit Price. 18+ only, proof of age/identity required. Rewards cannot be used to purchase alcohol in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
  • Rewards can only be used in full in a single transaction and no change will be given.

Exclusions

  • Rewards may only be redeemed in-store at Co-op Group food stores. Rewards cannot be used in conjunction with certain other offers that give money off the total value of your shop, see offer terms for specific details.
  • Stamps in this Trial can only be collected on Co-op own-brand products in Co-op Group food stores.
  • Stamps cannot be collected or redeemed:
  • when shopping online at shop.coop.co.uk or via an online delivery partner;
  • in independent co-operative society stores (including Midcounties, Central England, Southern or Chelmsford Star co-operatives), in some Co-op Live concession stores, Co-op franchise stores or in non Co-op branded stores, such as Nisa;
  • when buying first stage baby milk, postage stamps, savings schemes or stamps, lottery purchases, gift cards and vouchers, phone cards, in-store concessions, PayPoint, newspaper deliveries, mobile phone top ups, prescription medicines, fuel, cigarettes or tobacco.
  • when buying alcohol if you are located in Scotland or Northern Ireland. This Trial is limited to selected Co-op Group Members who are UK residents only.

General

  • In the event of any conflict with any other communications or promotional materials, these terms will apply.
  • We reserve the right to amend these terms, or to change or end the Trial at any time.
  • We reserve the right to remove any Digital Stamp Card at any time, regardless of whether any stamps have been collected
  • Any Digital Stamp Card, stamps or rewards are associated with your Membership number and cannot be used by anyone else. If you request a new Membership card, any stamps collected or rewards earned will not be transferred to that new Membership number. If you receive a new Membership number you may no longer be eligible to participate in the Trial.
  • Availability of Digital Stamp Cards may vary for each Co-op member.
  • We have the right to stop anyone collecting stamps, using a reward or taking part in this Trial if we reasonably believe that they are in breach of these terms, have been dishonest or done something fraudulent.
  • We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to the Trial and accept no responsibility for the Stamps not successfully being redeemed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind whether or not such failure is within our control or our agents’ control.
