View funeral notices and leave a tribute or donation in their memory
On the day of a cremation, our team will bring your loved one from our care into the service venue, whether that's somewhere like St Nicholas Church in Lanark or another location your family has chosen, before the cortège travels to the crematorium. The service itself typically lasts around 30 to 45 minutes and can include music, readings, and personal tributes that reflect the life of the person who died. Afterwards, we'll guide you through the next steps, including the return of ashes, at whatever pace feels right for your family.
Yes, our team covers a wide area across South Lanarkshire, including Biggar, Douglas, Rigside, and Forth, so wherever you are, we can come to you. From our funeral home on Bannatyne Street in Lanark, we arrange and conduct funerals across the region, and distance is never a barrier to the care and support we offer your family.
You can call us at any time — day or night — and our team will talk you through everything calmly and without any pressure. One of the most immediate things we can help with is bringing your loved one into our care at our Bannatyne Street funeral home, which has a chapel of rest where you're welcome to visit as often as you need. We'll also help you understand the paperwork and registration process in Lanark so nothing feels overwhelming in those first difficult hours.
We have strong working relationships with local churches including St Mary's Church, St Nicholas Church, and Greyfriars Church in Lanark, and we're experienced in arranging services that honour a wide range of religious traditions and personal beliefs. Whether your family follows a particular faith, prefers a non-religious humanist ceremony, or wants a blend of both, our team on Bannatyne Street will work with you to create something that truly reflects the person who died.
Parking is straightforward — you're welcome to use the Tesco or Morrisons car parks, which are both close to our funeral home on Bannatyne Street. Our premises are fully wheelchair accessible, with a ground floor arrangement room and an accessible toilet, so everyone in your family can be comfortable when they visit us to make arrangements.
